'Frances Innes is primarily a painter of the natural environment. Favourite subjects are the sea, beaches, cliffs, horizons, moors and trees. She lives and paints in Peterhead on the north east coast of Scotland where she works in her third floor home studio.
"Peterhead is the ideal location for me with its proximity to the sea, its big skies and amazing east coast light. I walk along the shore most days in all weathers. Although a five minute walk away, I can see the sea from my rooftop studio so can watch the changing colours and wild weather. I am especially attracted to changing light on the sea and menacing skies.
NEWS: Delighted to announce I am taken part in a solo exhibition (Hazy Horizons) at the historic Elgin Museum 1 High Street, Elgin from 28th April until 9th June 2018. Open daily except Sunday entry free.
Two paintings of mine are on show at the moment in the Departure Lounge at Aberdeen Airport.
